A fake talent contest to find a new 'Film star' is set-up screen testing at various colleges. A college newspaper editor suspects the fraud and threatens to expose it. He falls in love with the chosen star and arranges to fake her kidnap...An early and uncredited Lake appearance but I've watched a few times and not managed to spot her at all. She is supposedly a "Woman on Motorcycle / Couple" but I can't even spot a single motorcycle in the flick. There is however this photograph of a couple on a rowing machine around the 37 minute mark.. that's my best guess.
The movie itself is light but enjoyable with active musical song/dance scene and enjoyable enough.
